Using the washing machine causes numerous concerns to the longevity of shoes. The heat can break down the glue causing the adhesives holding your shoe together (like between the sole and upper) to weaken, causing your shoes to fall apart sooner. Zippers, logos, or lace tips can get caught, cracked, or completely break off during the cycle. If you have materials on your shoe that aren’t meant to be wet, do not use SOAK on that pair. SOAK is best for fabric and mesh from running / tennis shoes and for sneakers that have canvas / cloth uppers like Vans, Chucks, Keds, and Hey Dudes. Do not use on shoes that have suede or leather.
